Farewell to the letter 'T'...

So I have a weird son. When we got to Dallas, I found these little foam letter magnets at Target in the dollar section. I LOVE THE DOLLAR SECTION... So I put them on the door at our hotel so Johnny could play with them. Well Lo, and behold, he would only play with the letter 'T'. I don't know why, but he loved it. I would go put it back on the door, and within 10 minutes, it was in his hand. I told Brad to watch how funny this was, so I went and put it back on the door, and again, he had it 15 minutes later. HE CRACKS ME UP! Well last night when we put him to bed, I was cleaning up all the toys, and Brad put the letter 'T' back on the door. Well Johnny came in my room this morning and when he got me out of bed, I looked at the door, IT WAS GONE! Obviously he was already playing with it this morning. I'm not going to lie, I am a bit sad about the whole thing! I have torn this room apart trying to find it! I just can't find it anywhere...
This is my farewell to the letter 'T'.

You will be missed.

So another story about my stinker boy, when he wakes up from his naps, he usually knocks on the door to let me know he is awake. So yesterday, when he woke up, he fiddled with the doorknob. So I went over to let him out, and he locked himself in there. I sat there for 20 minutes panicking as I tried to pick the lock, and it was a lock I have never had to deal with before, so finally, I called the front desk telling them what happened... I was so embarrassed someone had to come up to our room and unlock the door for me. This little boy keeps me busy!

Thats it for now!

Johnny's brother!!!

So we just found out today that Johnny is going to have a brother! I can't tell you how excited I am that he gets a brother!!! I thought I would share this funny story with you about our previous experience with Johnny and now this little guy...

When I was pregnant with Johnny, I had NO patience to wait and see what I was having. I HAD to know. When I was 17 weeks, Brad and I went to that ultrasound place in the Provo mall and they told us it was a girl. They even zoomed up on the parts and explained to me that was certain things that only females have. I am not going to use the verbiage they used, ok?

So then when it came to my real ultrasound, the doctor was looking around and passed between his legs. I saw it. I SAW IT! Brad and I both made eye contact, and just started laughing hysterically! I got all in girl mode and started buying all this girl stuff and then the words came out of the doctors mouth... 'It's a boy!' From that point on, I told myself, its gonna take a lot for me to believe its a girl.

So in my current pregnancy, things have been a lot easier for me this round, so everyone was telling me it was a girl. I kept having dreams its a boy. And I just envisioned Johnny with his brother. My brother-in-law works at the hospital in cardiology and told me that I could go in for an ultrasound down there and he would look around and see if we could see what it is. So my sister, Brad, and Andy were so persistent to tell me it was a girl. Missy even said, "I can see the 3 white lines!" I still was being so stubborn. I wasn't going to trust it because of the last experience I had with Johnny. I am not going to get attached to a girl when I just don't quite believe it.

So today, I had my ultrasound with my new doctor in Dallas, and of course, the tech waved that magic wand over this baby, and I saw it. I SAW IT AGAIN! I just started laughing and I teared up because I KNEW it was a boy this time! I guess that my boys just are a little underdeveloped ...

Anywho, here are some pictures of my latest ultrasound:

Yep, its a BOY!

I got to have a 3D ultrasound, which was pretty fun. The tech said that they usually don't give these until they are about 30 weeks, but this baby was being so cooperative, that she just had to do it. THANKS FOR BEING A GOOD BABY!!!

The end...

The Wiggly Play Center

We found out in a conversation with a manager at our hotel that Texas has the only Wiggly Play Center in the United States... So what do we do since our son is obsessed with The Wiggles? We decided to take him to go have a Wiggly Ol' Time!

Johnny jumping off the stage...

Watching The Wiggles. Of course they were playing all the videos with Sam, the new Wiggle, but I think he is annoying and apparently a lot of other people do too. Yes, I am that involved with even caring about them.

Playing in the bounce house. Its funny because the Wiggles were doing their little finger dance on the picture in the background, and Johnny looked at it, and started doing it. Brad and I just laughed at this little stinker!

I love this picture! His foot kept getting caught on the red pipe when he would go down the slide, and I caught that special moment... :)

Why do kids always want to go up a slide?

Here are some videos of the monster at play:

(Be patient. I shot these with an HD camera and they take a while to load on YouTube. Push Pause and let them load for a bit...)

Our 'Home' for a few months...

Here is the hotel we will be staying in for a few months. It's weird to think that we really don't have anything that we are currently 'living' in knowing that we spent the week of Christmas shoving everything we own in a storage unit and spending Christmas Eve and Christmas on the road for our long journey to Dallas, TX. But what's the point of paying rent when we wont be there... Anywho, here are the pictures:

We might need to rethink Johnny's room because we bought one of those rails (as you can see) but he fell off the other side of the bed last night. It was SOOO SAD! We thought the one we bought had two sides in there, until we got home and looked at the box... So we were testing to see how much he moves in the middle of the night and he did good for the first 5 nights, and the WHAM! It happened...

Johnny found his new seat!

He is OBSESSED with phones, so every time we go to a hotel, we unplug the phone, and give it to him and he has so much fun!

This is definitely different from normal day life, but you have to do what you have to do! Luckily Brad and I get to spend a lot of time together instead of him being gone all the time on bank examinations, so thats a huge plus for our family!

The end.

We finally made it!!!

We finally made it to Dallas! It was quite a journey and we are so sick of the car! I think that Johnny did better in the car than Brad and I. Santa knew exactly what Johnny needed to get him through this road trip. Santa brought Johnny a little portable TV/DVD player to entertain him in the car. We watched the wiggles almost the entire time. I'm not going to lie... I think that I was more entertained by the Wiggles, than Johnny. Here is a pic of Johnny with his present from Santa:

Now I tried to find snow boots all over the place with all the snow that Utah got to give Johnny a chance to play in the snow and there was nothing!!! So I just got him some rain boots. I figured since we most likely will be going back to Seattle, we can kill two birds with one stone. Then Johnny fell in love. He wouldn't take them off!

We went down to St. George for a couple days just to try to break up the road trip so it wasn't the worst thing ever. Missy and Andy came down there with us and it was a lot of fun. I was really sad to leave. I would stay there if I could!!!

Little Kater tots is just chillin' on the couch. I laughed at this pic. Wonder what she is looking at??

18 weeks... WATCH OUT! I'm gonna get huge again...

Uncle Andy was so tired after throwing Johnster around all the time!

Itchy diaper butt!

Just chillin' at the condo in St. George. I know I'm fat. I'm pregnant, ok? Gosh...

Here are some pics of Johnny playing in the snow for the first time ever. He didn't want anything to do with the snow. He just wanted to sit on the ATV. Boys...

Here he is with Uncle Bubba:

His hands were freezing, but as you can see, he hated the gloves. He wanted nothing to do with them.

In Albuquerque, they had a safe in the room. I really don't want to know why, but Johnny loved it. He filled it with kleenex and many other things like his sippy and of course his pillow.

This is my absolute favorite pic of Johnny. Missy snapped it of him while we were at the mall. He's such a cheeser!!!

Here is an ultrasound picture thanks to Andy. THANKS ANDY! I will be finding out what I am having January 21st... SO EXCITED!

Things in Dallas have been pretty crazy so far! We definitely are trying to get used to how different it is here! Note to self... DON'T EVER GO TO WALMART UNLESS YOU LIVE IN UTAH! :) We have already been in two hotel rooms, and we purposefully booked our stay 6 months in advance to make sure we would have two rooms because of Johnny, and they gave us one room, so its not going to work at this hotel, so we are actually changing to a different one tomorrow... Hopefully it will help us make our stay here more comfortable!

Today, Johnny turned 18 months today and this is my marker to ween him off the binky. It is not going to be easy because that thing is so soothing to him, but I have to do it. Its time. If you have any tips of how you have done it in the past, all insight is very much appreciated!

To be continued...
